Six Sentence Sunday – 1/15/12 #sixsentencesunday

As one of my New Year’s resolutions, I’m trying to submit more short stories.  Here’s a chunk from one of them I’m currently editing, “Soulless.”

The demon stood up and was suddenly in front of her. It ran a claw along her arm, and she recoiled as a wave of terror hit her. “It’s a complicated process, recovering an abandoned soul. There are waiting periods, and caveats, before everything is finalized. Which is why I’m here, to tell you that we have your soul, and in three days we’ll have permanent custody of it.” It grinned at her, a grin promising horrible things to come.

  2. Mmmm, creepy. Hate it when demons just pop up like that :)

  3. YIKES! A demon having your soul is NOT a good thing. Great six.
