Six Sentence Sunday – 12/4/11 #sixsentencesunday

Here’s the opening from a short story I’m working on, roughly based on the Slipknot song “Vendetta” (very roughly).

Louise woke up that morning feeling different. Lighter, somehow. She wiggled her toes and her fingers; still there. She ran a hand through her hair; it was the same length it had been the night before. Her clothes were on, the same she’d gone to sleep in. She rolled over to wake up Teddy, to see if her boyfriend knew what had changed, but the sheets beside her were empty; Teddy was gone.
